Cheaters! We're your parents or grandparents cheaters??

Question

Cheating supposedly runs in the family in strange ways. They usually say if the father cheats the daughter cheats whereas if the mother cheats the son will cheat. Vise versa one will feel awful and be cheated on..

So, im just curious for "real life" is it true?

I think my mom and dad were both cheaters at one point and my grandpa on my moms side definitely was. He was more than a cheater... He did very disturbing things. Anyhow, I don't know whether I believe that or not. Some people only cheat as a once in a lifetime thing and some are forever cheaters. I've cheated in some relationships, but not in others, and I wouldn't and have never done it in my current relationship.

I actually asked my grandmothers and they said that not only did my grandfathers cheat, but so did their fathers and their fathers... 3 generations on my dads side and 2 on my moms, that we know of. and yes, I was one also. Who knows if it's actually accurate, and not at all genetically related, but oddly coincidental

Im a little confused on the answers (ditzy as hell) buuut i like tgis theory would be good to test it out in a way like interview ways. But i was confused if we have been cheated on or if we cheated or if the theory was true
