How could I have caught hep c!?!! HELP! No Tattoos

They did rerun it the blood test.

I have no tattoos!

Never taken any drugs. Period.

Never shared a razor.

The title says it all. I was recently told after a physical annual + annual blood test that I am positive for hep c antibody. This is my first time getting hep c / hiv etc tested at my doc.

I am married but was in a rough patch with my husband and we were not sleeping together.

Here is a timeline for referencing.

Timeline:

1. April 2019- gave birth to my daughter. I mention this in my timeline because they usually test you for literally everything. So I am 100% assuming I was tested and was negative for everything (active virus and antibody).

2. July 2020 last time we had sex before he cheated on me. According to him and the girl there was nothing physical, just sexting.

3. March 2021- when I was looking up symptoms of hep c, I read that you feel itchy. And I went back my text message history and in-fact had my husband buy cerave itch relief lotion for me. Because I remember having this itchy feeling all over my skin. It was unbearable.

4. July 2021 - had sex with my husband 1 time in a moment of weakness.

5. April 2023 - recently started having sex with my husband

6. July 2023 - Got the following results, positive for antibody and negative for an active virus.

I have not slept with anyone besides my husband. No physical contact with anyone.

I do not and have never done drugs, literally. No weed, no cigarettes, no injecting myself. Nothing. Ever.

I didn’t even talk to my husband about it yet but everything I am seeing online + what the doc told me is that it’s a possibility to get it through sex but it’s such a low chance.

Don’t even know what to do. Should I get retested??

How should I approach this without coming across like an asshole. Like I said above, my husband and I recently started to rekindle our marriage and actively trying for baby #2.
