"Weird rash" follow up question

So I posted a pic last night of a weird rash on my public area and a lot of people said it could be ringworm. I've washed everything in hot water and am getting an anti fungal cream today. My follow up question is in regards to sex. I know it takes at least two weeks to clear up and start to go away, so does that mean I should refrain from sex until after it clears up?
