Late period HOT HOT FLASHES

My period is 6 days late, I feel ok I’m pretty tired and have tender nipples but omg the last few days the hot flashes have been un real!!!! I’m only 28 so this is not menopause but I’ve never experienced a hot flash before and these are extreme!!! Why does this happen? I’m testing on Sunday as (TTC for years and nothing) so I’m trying to give my period 1 week to come before I test as I just know it will be negative and this is just my body tormenting me

Also I’m drinking a glass of wine which is normal for me and I feel drunk and extra sleepy and I’ve had maybe half a glass? Very strange
