Not going to church

I was raised a Christian and all my life I was forced to go to church on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. It's been almost a year since I stopped going to church and I feel relieved. I finally feel free and so much better about myself for making my own decision regardless of what others (family, friends, church people, etc) will or are probably thinking of me. The only thing that kept me going to church was the fear of being criticized if I stopped attending but I don't feel that way anymore. I honestly don't care. I believe in God with all my heart and I love Him but I don't think I could ever go back to church. Am I wrong for feeling this way? Has anyone been through this?
