Has anyone started collecting colostrum ?

Apparently you’re only supposed to collect from 37 weeks. I’m 35 weeks + 5 now. And I’m dripping a little. I was wondering if I could start collecting?
The drips are definitely not enough, so I’d have to make an effort and manually express a little? But I’m not sure if that’s ok so early

Im almost 38 weeks and have started pumping colostrum to save for baby and to also aid as a natural induction kind of thing. I got half an oz combined my first pump. Ive only pumped once so far

I started collecting at 36 weeks after I got the okay from my doctor. :)

I started at 37 weeks exactly with the okay from dr and my water broke at 38 weeks 4 days during a session!

What is the point of collecting colostrum? I've seen a few posts about it. I've breastfed two babies and never collected anything before they were born.
