High BP??

Question

I have normally had a low blood pressure, but last night it was 138/93. After tons of blood work and urine tests, I was sent home to do a 24 hour urine test. Has anyone had to do this, and know what they're looking for? (I'm 35 weeks 5 days)

I had high BP readings the past few dr appts and my dr decided to do a 24 hr urine test. Results came backi had mild pre e and he didn't want to wait and see if things got worse so at 37 weeks Friday New Year's Day I was induced and my baby was born via emergency c-section due to abruption of the placenta this morning at 12.55am!😊

They are checking for pre E. I had pre E with my first and it didn't pop up until 36 weeks. My normally very low blood pressure was over 140 on top and between 90-105 on the bottom. For me it was astronomical. I even started seeing spots. I was swollen up like a blow fish. So it hit fast and hard there towards the end. I was induced with him at 37 weeks exactly. I did the 24 hour urine test, but they delivered him before the results came in.

They are checking for preclampsia. (Sp?)

I think they are looking for protein in the urine. Protein in the urine is a sign of preeclampsia.
