Is this depression?
I’ve noticed a reoccurring pattern with my husband.
Now I’m not saying he’s not depressed but the pattern I’ve noticed is the same these last two years
Day 1: He will bring up some girl that he was casually talking too at work
Day 2:
Starts making subtle accusations that I’m doing something I shouldn’t be and I’m being defensive when I’m not - EXAMPLE
HIM: You post wayyyyy to many selfies!!
Me: I literally don’t, maybe 1-3 a year if even
Him: mmmmm I see A TON
Me: does this bother you?
Him: NOPE huuuuuhhhhh?! whaaaaaaaaaaat????? who said that 🙄 WOOOOOOW you’re being awfully defensive you doing something??? Hmmmmm hmmmmmmm
Me: if you don’t have a problem why are you bringing it up? “A ton” of selfies would be like your sister who posts 10-60 A DAY every day…1-3 a year is nothing
Then he is clearly bothered by EVERYTHING
When I ask “Hey are you ok” OR “Hey is something wrong” he glares at me and says wow always something has to be wrong with me I don’t have a problem you do!!!!!!!!! or he will say “Whaaaaat the fu*ck I don’t have a problem”
Then he later admits he has a problem he’s mad and raging he’s not sure why but he feels like hurting someone or himself cos he’s so so so pissed off for no reason and he’s severely depressed and he needs a counseling appointment ASAP and how he will make one the next day
Next day comes I ask how he is, do you need anything from me today? Would you like me to make you an appointment? he says Who me? I’m great why???
Thing is this pattern always starts out with the talk of some woman.
Like recently he told me he was talking to some woman he went to high school with 20 years ago and her 14 year old son at the gym at 430 am and this woman’s son gave my husband his cell so they could text
I immediately knew where this path was gonna go
The accusing me, him denying he doesn’t have a problem, him saying he’s SO MAD for no reason he doesn’t know why, him admitting he’s depressed and the next day him admitting he’s GREAT!!!
This has occurred 14 times in the last 2 years
