Weight, clean, vitamin K, check APGAR. They did all that in my room with my daughter.

My daughter never left our room, but every hospital is different. I delivered at a family birth center with labor, delivery and recovery all happening in the same room.

Mom needs rest!! They encourage for you to rest as much as you can until you get home.

Master they let me hold my son for a minute, they performed all the tests mentioned above, but did it in the same room where I was.

What! I've never heard they take your baby. After birth they did all his measurement s and weight gave him his shots and cleaned him up but my sons father was there constantly. I was having a shower while they did that then bub never left my side.

Add a safety ankle bracelet with an alarm. So no one can take them near the exit doors or the elevators without a VERY LOUD alarm sounding everywhere. Makes me feel better. Other then that they leave them in the room unless they need lights for jaundice, you ask them to take them for some sleep or they need their tests or you are having a boy circumcised. Everything else is in room.

To weigh, measure, give a vitamin k shot, finger and footprint, give a bath, ect. They do it all in the room, unless there is a complication.
