What makes you believe

Question

Religion question. Doesnt matter the religion. But why do you believe in it?

Answer

I'm not religious, but I think our brains are  programmed in a way where we always try to understand things and find explanations for the things we don't understand - including where we come from and why we are here. Obviously I think the spiritual and moral aspect of religion is also what attracts people, but you can like those without believing in religion or God if that makes sense lol.
I think the belief stems from us trying to find some logic in why the world is the way it is.

Im a Jesus/God follower, not religion. Religion and church is man made; God made us the temple, we are the church.

I grew up in a Christian family but I didn’t really fully identify as a Christian. I always believed in God but didn’t fully accept the trinity concept. I recently became Muslim and fell in love with the religion. I believe in it because I find it to be the truth and the most logical and practical religion. Muslims believe there’s only One God Who created everything and everyone and that He has no equals, partners or children. We don’t worship or pray/turn to any humans, animals or objects. Just the One True Creator. We believe this life is just a test and everyone’s purpose is to find and worship the One True Creator without setting up any equals to Him. I find the Quran to be the last and true Holy Book and believe Prophet Muhammad as the last and final messenger. We believe in all the prophets that came before him (including Jesus, who we love and also believe is the Messiah and will have a second coming, we just don’t believe he IS God or the son of God) and that the Bible and Torah came before the Quran but we believe that Islam is the final religion. There being only One God makes so much more sense to me than God either sending Himself to Earth in human form (in Islam, we believe God is Perfect and the Greatest and wouldn’t reduce Himself to a human just to show us He loves us or can relate to us) or God having a child that He sent to die on a cross for everyone’s sins (in Islam, God doesn’t like or accept human sacrifices and unjustly killing someone is one of the biggest sins). Islam just seemed so much more logical and simple and when I learned about it, I instantly converted and I’ve been the happiest and at the most peace I’ve ever been.

Thats a good question. I think We mostly believe in something because We are born this way, in a religion or something else. I personally believe in God but i believe in the energies of the universe too, in karma and so on. Many of us like to think That there is someone up there who help us. Miracles exists tho

My parents are catholic. They had religion enforced on them by my grandparents. They never unforced anything on me. I feel like I’m spiritual then anything. I do believe I god but I also believe in manifestation, Karma etc. I got into a roll over accident years ago and I walked away with no injures. Do I believe something or someone was protected me, absolutely.
