Should I use the "family bassinet"?

I got one that all the grandkids and great grandkids have been in. My husband wants to use it because it's free and he doesn't see the problem, because supposedly everyone else have used it. I'm scared of it... What would you do? Pictures don't show fabric covering

It looks dirty and who knows if it's safe enough?? It's beautiful that it's a family bassinet don't get me wrong, but I would just make sure it's safe enough for the baby first since its been used for so long and had so many babies in it. It might not be sturdy enough..

It looks dodgy, I definately wouldn't use that. We had a family bassinet that I wouldn't use because it's almost 30 years old and I didn't trust its stability so we bought one that will become the new family bassinet 😊

Could you make a cover for it? It looks so rickety though.  If you don't feel safe about it don't.  Babies safety comes first

If I had our old family bassinet I would use it.. But that looks a bit unstable and unsanitary. We have an outfit that my grandfather made that every one of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have wore home from the hospital. Totally outdated at this point in time, but I love the tradition!

As sweet as it is that one does not look sturdy. Maybe take some part of that to the new one. Take the fabric into a small pillow of some sort.

With my son I'm using the one I used as a baby, but I guess it depends on the condition it's in.

They are only in it for a short period of time :) couldn't hurt and he's right it's free!
