Too soon for another baby?

My baby is now 4 months old and i find myself thinking a lot if im ready to have my second baby. I never had a big family and i would like to plan for 3 or 4 kids godwilling. Surely i havent been thru the toddler years which i hear are really tough and havent had significant milestones like starting solids or teething but perhaps raising a human is tough in all its years. Im 27 now and dont want to be that much older when i have my last child because i also want to be capable to take care of the babies. Should i go for it or wait?

You need to wait. For the sake of your healing body. It’s HIGHLY advised to wait until 18m pp to try to conceive again after previous birth. That’s trying not when you would give birth again. Your uterus needs time to heal. Plus there’s a plethora of risks and complications that can happen with getting pregnant under that time frame and especially under 1yr pp. 
Miscarriage, placental abruption, and hemorrhage are just a few.

Im terms of mentally I think only you and your partner know if you’re ready and capable but physically, you have to let your body heal. Having children too close together can be dangerous and cause problems having more children in the future. 💗

I mean, plenty of ppl have kids really close in age and idk about any of them dying, lol. If you survived the newborn phase you’ve been through the absolute worst of it. If you feel like you can manage the tough days and pregnancy that’s your decision. If you have high risk factors like obesity or diabetes I’d keep that in mind. However, being 27 means you have PLENTY of time. No need to push yourself if you’re not totally ready. Maybe don’t white knuckle the situation and just take a laid back approach

We waited a year before trying to conceive. I would wait just a little bit, not only for yourself but the sleep regressions are a bitch and can be even more so pregnant. Being sick on no sleep is hell. 
Also, having kids in your 30s doesn’t mean you won’t be able to take care of them. That’s just silly.

It's entirely up to you but take into account, your newborn needs you wholly, this means any other children are pushed to the side even without meaning to. I think it's nice to give each child a couple of years of you but especially your 1st...However that is very personal. You and your partner know your capabilities best. I have son's, there's 15 months between 2 and 3 and 2yrs between 4 and 5...Do what feels right but remember the practicalities and you'll be fine.
