Routine blood work ?

Does everyone’s pediatrician send your little ones for routine blood work yearly ? My baby had blood work around her first birthday and now they want more after her 2 year check up

I dont recall our pediatrician ever drawing blood on all of my kids. I know they do it when they are born, and my one son is allergic to eggs and the allergist wanted him to get bloodwork done to see if they could pin point exactly what part of the egg he is most allergic to, but we decided to just steer clear.of eggs altogether.and not traumatize.our 2 year old. Have you.asked why they do it.annually?

I know my daughter always gets at least a finger prick every year. They do it in their office though and I believe they are looking for sugar and cholesterol.
