41+1 and WHAT a day! **UPDATE**
Woke up a little crampy this morning, started getting ready for my midwife appointment. Midwife is an hour away, got on the road and she called me and asked if we could push the appointment back for an hour. Said sure and hubby and I went and got breakfast to kill time. Got to her office and was scheduled for an NST, asked her if she needed a urine (of course she did). So before she hooked me up to the monitors, I went to use the restroom. I caught my bloody show in the specimen cup... oops. NST looked good, was having some contractions that I couldn't really feel and baby was doing wonderful. She checked my cervix and it was still mostly closed. We left from there and went to pick up a few things we needed from 3 different stores and I walked through all of those. Got home, put everything away. Decided to heat up some food and as I reached for the potholder to pull it out, my water broke. Cleaned myself up, still ate my food and waiting for the big round in the fight! I'm supposed to be resting, but I am so excited the time is finally near! *UPDATE* Labored at home beautifully for almost 12 hours before I went in to the birth center to try for my VBA2C. When I arrived, my midwife checked me and discovered that I still hadn't dilated (contractions were 2-3 minutes apart) and that baby had passed meconium. We made the decision to transfer to the hospital. When I got to the hospital and into a room, contractions were becoming absolutely unbearable. I was checked again and still no dilation. I signed consents for a c-section. When they opened me up, they noticed meconium in my abdominal cavity. My uterus had ruptured after I arrived to the hospital! The Lord was looking out for me, because all of this could have been absolutely catastrophic for baby and me. Fortunately, baby was perfect and they were able to repair my uterus and although I didn't get the birth I dreamed of, I got the exact birth that I needed!
