How to prepare without knowing gender?!

I'm such a type A Planner and letting go and waiting to buy things until the baby is here is stressing me out!! Anyone else not finding out the gender? What are you doing to prepare? Please don't suggest gender neutral. I hate greens and yellows! Thanks in advance!!

Buy what you like. I know I'm having a girl and half the stuff I've registered for so far is labeled "boy". Don't care, I like it better.

We aren't finding out either. I started registering for gifts, and realized that I really dislike yellow. I'm choosing a lot of gray. And I'm really into teal or purple for gender specific items. The stroller and play pen we chose is orange and black/orange and gray. We like orange, and it's useful for either gender. I would go with whatever u like! U always have the option of exchanging the items once the baby is born. I wouldn't open/wash everything. Good luck and enjoy.

Not finding out the sex either.... Only 21w today. Although I laugh about not suggesting "gender neutral" because it depends on how strongly you feel about dressing your baby in "gender-specific colours." Since I refuse to dress my girls in only pink and boys in blue, I am finding other options (these will only work if you are okay with that)..... For example we are doing the nusery in grey and white. One focal wall will be striped and the theme will be puppies (since we have two black labs).

Tons of cute grey, gold, silver, white, dinosaur, woodland animal, Safari, beach, science, etc themed-stuff that does not depend on gender. Good luck!

You might have a great struggle not controlling everything because you don't know the sex but I can imagine how organized and amazing the nursery will actually look once you are done! 😉

Buy what colors you love! Either way, the room will look great. You can do different tones of blues even if you have a girl, add other colors in to it or something. We don't know the gender yet, but I am more drawn in general to blues and greens. Even silvers and golds would be gender neutral.

Are you talking registering or buying?

I'm registering for lots of greys, because I like grey! And also putting "boy" and "girl" things on to provide examples of what I like- which is NOT brightly colored crap like what my MIL got me for Christmas because she's peeved "she can't plan" for our baby.

In terms of buying things I'm focusing more on things like diapers, bottles, wipes, furniture- things that I'll need no matter what gender Bop is. Also, if you add it to your registry before buying something gender specific most will extend their return policy to a year- which gives you plenty of time to return it
