Being bisexual whilst in a relationship

Im bi and my boyfriend finds it attractive that I can hit on girls and be with girls. I don't know if it's just a guy thing? We were talking about what he'd do if I cheated and he said he'd be furious if he caught me with another man, but with a girl he wouldn't care and would quite like it. I found that quite insulting. Am I overreacting? Opinions?
