Am I gross?

I only need about 3-4 minutes in the shower. I’m not sure how everyone else takes 30+ min showers! That’s ridiculous lol.

I think 10 minutes is a minimum for the average person if not savoring the hot water. Maybe 5 minutes if not washing your hair and just doing a body wash and rinse. 
Wash face, rinse, shampoo hair, rinse, condition hair, rinse, scrub body, rinse. That’s bare minimum.
It’s longer if you shave armpits, legs, pubic mound, exfoliating, deep conditioning, exfoliating feet, soaking muscles in hot water, just relaxing from the hot water…etc. 
My dad is bald and doesn’t shave in the shower so his showers can be 3-4 minutes when he’s just getting the sunscreen off his body (skin cancer life).

My water heater doesn't allow for a 30 minute shower. 🤣 my quick showers are maybe 5 minutes if I'm not washing my hair, closer to 10 if I am. A little longer if I'm also shaving/exfoliating.

If I’m just getting in scrubbing down and out like in hot weather maybe 5 but atleast 15-20 to shave wash and do hair

Well counting that my conditioner  stays in my hair a minimum of 5 minutes lol i definiteky couldnt take a 3-4 minute shower. Nor would i want to. If not washing my hair i coukd probably be super quick. 5 mins if for some reason i needed to. But usually a good time for me is 15-30 mins depending if im shaving, using a body scrub,  exfoliating etc.

If you use a body safe soap and wash well enough and you use deodorant lotion ect you won’t stink. If you don’t have medical needs ect you’ll be fine what works for some won’t work for others and if you and others smell

I do about 30 minutes-40 every night. My partners do 20. My son does 20-30, or an hour if he’s in the bathtub and he’s 7. It’s not a big deal in our home. Showers/bathing is apart of self-care and it’s encouraged to take your time.

I feel like 3-4 minutes isn't enough time to get clean. My SIL takes 3-4 minutes and she fucking stinks all the time. Same with my ex step-sister. They both fucking reek even fresh out if the shower. I just don't feel that someone can get clean in sych a short amount of time. I take a minimum of 15 minutes without shaving. I get in, take off makeup, wash face, wash my LONG hair (every single night), condition and leave it in, wash face with different face wash, wash body, rinse everything. Just that takes 15 minutes. I shave almost every single night so I need to add 15 minutes to that for a 30 minute shower almost every night because having body hair is a nightmare of a sensory experience for me. I have to shave at a slower pace to avoid aggravating my skin. Twice a week I have to add in a homemade sugar scrub to exfoliate my body. I have super sensitive skin and eczema so a lot goes into my care rountine to keep my skin happy and moisurized.

I absolutely HATE showering. It’s an awful sensory experience, and it makes me pretty anxious (although significantly less anxious than I used to get). If I’m not washing my hair, I’m in the shower for less than 5 minutes. If I’m washing my hair, it takes 10 minutes max. I don’t think most people *need* longer than that, but lots of people enjoy showering for some reason, and that’s why they take so long.
