Should I take my pill?

I was supposed to start birth control pills at the start of my next period but I'm super irregular and I haven't gotten my period in 2 months(usual) but I just want to start it. My doctor told me that if I take it not at the start of my period I'll start bleeding and bleed for a month straight and I don't really care at this point about the bleed but my boy is with period sex so idec. My question is, should I take my pill today out of cycle just to get started on my pill or wait for the next period. Which could be another Few months away.

When I was first prescribed the pill I was super irregular and had no idea when I was going to start my period and be able to start taking the pill. I asked my doctor about that and she said that if I didn't start within a week, I should call and they would give me a medicine to make me start my period. It took about a week to work and was able to start my pill right after. I've heard that starting the pill between cycles makes it ineffective for a while. I would just ask your doctor about a medicine to force your body to start your period.

It's not unhealthy to start your pill in the middle of your cycle, just inconvenient sometimes like your doctor said, and you don't get immediate protection. I started without waiting for my period and had fairly heavy bleeding about a week before my break week but otherwise it wasn't bad.
