They didn’t come

So today was my daughter’s birthday party. She’s turns 3 this Friday. I invited my parents to come and they said they would. They missed her first birthday party because my little brother (then 18) had a baseball thing they did instead. “It’s his last one for high school”. Last year they missed it because again my brother had a baseball game. “It’s his first season of college”. This year my brother can’t play because of an injury he’s recovering from. So I was extremely hopeful. The party came and went. After my Dad was texting about a table he’s been building and I’ve been helping him with. No mention of the party from him. I don’t think he’s even realized they missed it. I didn’t bring it up either. It almost doesn’t bother me and I think that’s worse. My husband says I should tell him and I didn’t want to ruin his excitement about the table. It just kind of stinks that they’re so detached from my daughter.

Should I say anything? I know he’ll see my pictures of it on Facebook. Not sure he’ll out two and two together.
