Disrespectful partner

Last night I was supposed to see my boyfriend, and we got into a little argument over something dumb, and he was being very rude to me for no reason saying things like “You’re dumb as fuck, I never met anybody as stupid as you” “you’re so dumb & make me so mad I’ll go to jail because you’re making me so mad” “I’ll strangle you if you were here right now” and he was just being very ignorant and rude towards me. For no reason, and I was drunk so I was really seeing past what he was saying but the next morning I really am feeling some kind of way. I’m not sure how to address the situation because it was last night. But earlier all this came on he was also having a stank attitude & before he was saying how he didn’t “mean to be mean” he just hadn’t smoked today.
