Am I expecting too much?

Anytime I've had a boyfriend we've talked all day for hours on end. I was always told if someone likes you they will put in the effort to talk to you. My boyfriend and I don't talk nearly as much as my past boyfriends. He's 35 and I'm 33 and I know he has a job. I'm hunting for a job right now and had to move back in with my boyfriend's so I can understand that. He also has 2 teenager boys and I know being a parent is hard but they are 16 and 15. I mean how much time do you have to put into teenagers. They're almost adults and independent. I'm used to talking for 16 or so hours a day. It feels like we talk for 8 or so. I am just wondering if he's even really into me or if I'm wasting my time. Maybe when I get a job I won't feel as lonely because I'll have something to do but I mean people text at work all the time and at most jobs if you work 8 hours shifts don't you get like 2 20 minute breaks? So why do I only here from him during lunch. Maybe I'm being too clingy but would you worry?

Teenagers are not adults and require parental care. Parents spend time with their teens too. 18 is legal. Not an adult and doesn’t absolve the parent. 
You need a therapist if you need constant contact, are jealous of your partners children and think any adult has 8 to 16 free hours a day to talk in the phone. Do you not adult in anyway? At 33 you should have responsibilities. I highly suggest you work on that.

Go to therapy and break up. Don’t get into another relationship until you’re more stable. 8 hours a day is a lot of time to spend with you, especially with him working and having 2 kids. We don’t have kids and my SO and I spend maybe 3-4 hours a day max together, and we live together.

8 hours or so is A LOT. I talk to my SO maybe 1 to 2 maybe 3 hours if that and it's mainly through text. We both have jobs and things to do and we live together. If it's important ill reach out or we just check in on how our day is going. This is typical and normal for most adults. Also why should he talk to you during lunch? Thats literally his time to eat. I would be annoyed if my SO wanted to be on the phone or blowing up my phone as I'm trying to eat and have some peace for just 30 minutes. His children require a lot of attention teenagers need their father. You need to chill. Maybe get a hobby while you dont have a job.

Girl you need to come back to reality or you’ll be single forever. This is insane.  You aren’t in a teenage relationship where you both have zero responsibilities, you’re an adult. Realistically, even 8 hours is a lot. Plus you live with him…calm down.
