Why doesn’t my doctor ask?

I just got some vvfl positives and I’m 3 days late for AF. I called to set up my first prenatal appointment and have to do a phone appointment with the nurse before they schedule my appointment with the OB.

I see posts on here about women getting a positive at home test then having it confirmed within days at the doctor. This is our 3rd and all 3 pregnancies have been in different states with different doctors. I’ve always had to wait until 7-10 weeks pregnant for my first appointment. In which they do an ultrasound to confirm.

Why have my doctors never asked to confirm with a blood test?
