Very heavy & painful periods.

When I was younger (like 14-16ish) I remember I used to have such painful and heavy periods. I got the iud at 16, got it removed at 20 and got pregnant 3 months after getting it removed. I’m 12 months pp now and since having my baby my periods are so much worse than I remember them.

I bleed through an ultra tampon every 1-2 hours. The cramps are so bad I literally get cold chills from them. I seriously think the cramps are worse than contractions ever were.

Should I see a doctor? Get back on birth control? This can’t be normal, can it?
