Was I an affair partner?

I was chatting with a married guy for a while. It started off as friends and we were very open about things in our life (ie our sex lives). I always found him attractive. His wife is also very attractive. I'll admit that I often complimented him and vice versa. He had asked me if i would ever do it with him (hypothetically) and I said of course yes and asked him the same to which he said yes. So I often told him that I'd totally be down for a threesome with him and his wife but his wife wasn't the type to have an open relationship. We both knew that we wouldn't actually do it with just the two of us. I feel like we had an emotional affair. And the thought/realization only occurred to me during the conversation below. Am I thinking right that this was an emotional affair and that he was cheating and that I was helping him cheat?

Also, do you think I mistinterpreted his question about a picture with less clothes?
