he doesn’t love me anymore

I could just tell. we’ve been dating for four years and there’s such a major difference. a few weeks ago, he told me he wasn’t in love with me anymore. we’ve been trying to make it work, but I feel hurt deep down still. he says he loves me occasionally but I feel so sad just thinking about it. i’ve been trying to show him how much I care by doing little things and surprises but I just don’t really feel as loved. I guess it’ll just take time but it makes me feel so sad knowing he lost it for a little. I don’t know what I did wrong. :(
