My son is four and a half months old. I let him have a tiny lick of chocolate that was on my finger (put on there) because he seemed to watch it soo bad. Is it too soon to let him have a lick and taste things? He still bobbles but we’re working on it

6m old for any type of solids. That includes tastes. All major health organizations recommendations are 6m old with all ready signs met. Pedis aren’t nutritionists and often give false info. They are to be following the board certified pedi nutritionists at major health orgs.

No food before 6 months. Their digestive tracts are not mature enough for food and can lead to issues when babe is older. All signs of readiness need to be met as well

I talked to my kids pediatrician when I introduced foods for the first time. They were around 3-4months. I started with vegetables and fruits. I would talk to the pediatrician first. ￼
