Taking wedding pictures separately?

Is it normal for the bride and groom to take pictures separately? Like if at the wedding, the mother in law wants just a picture of her and her son who is the groom without the bride, is this a red flag?

That's completely normal. My husband had pictures with his mom before the wedding and I ADORE them. It was a private moment where she was pinning his boutonniere to him and you could see how happy they both were. Even pictures with just him and his dad in a silent moment of love and respect. There are pictures of him with his parents, grandmothers, brother and SIL, even with my biological father (I didn't even take a picture alone with him). I took pictures with my family as well, a private picture with my grandmother, my mom, MIL and my mom praying over me, ect. We even took pictures as a couple together with each of our families and grandmothers. There's nothing wrong with taking a few pictures alone with your families. I've never been to a wedding where that didn't happen.

Is your question if it’s normal or if this is a red flag?
If the MIL just wants one or a few pictures with her son, I don’t see the issue with that at all. If the MIL refuses to be in any pictures the bride is also in, then yes. But that’s a red flag from the MIL, that’s not the groom’s fault (unless he isn’t standing up for his wife when there’s issues between the MIL and bride).

It’s completely normal, many brides get pictures with JUST their mom and dad, and the grooms do the say. It’s not a red flag at all.

Of course this is normal and why wouldn’t mom was a photo with her son on his wedding day? Your mom/paren doesn’t want a photo with you? This question makes you sound like a red flag.

? Not a red flag ? I just got married on Saturday & we did plenty of photos without both of us together. I did photos of just me & my family & he did the same thing.
