Pre-eclampsia, pregnancy induced hypertension, and Metformin

Does anyone on this board have experience with either pre-e or pregnancy induced hypertension? My BP is starting to creep and I would very much like to avoid pre-e for a 2nd time. I am thinking about restarting metformin, which I stopped at 12w with doctor's blessing. Everything was good at that point. I am 20w3d now, appt in a week and I will ask my doctor then, but any info you ladies have would be great :)
