My husband had an affair

My husband had an emotional affair… I wasn’t aware of it until the woman messaged me and spilled the tea because she was upset at him for cutting contact…. Well we’re still trying to work through that and gain trust… now fastforward.

A mom at the kiddos school husband passed away, my husband knew them back in highschool…. Lost contact whatever.

Well the other day at the school she was saying she needed help with jjher child and asked if I happen to pick my kids up that day.. I let her know no I am not as their dad has custody for that day.

Well my husband proceeded to say I’ll pick her up.okay whatever…. Well then they exchange numbers and text that day as he was picking up her child and taking said child to ice cream…. Ok well I explained to my husband with this history of the emotional affair how uncomfortable that made me and how I still don’t fully trust him and hes getting way to friendly.

Now I’m getting silent treatment from him because he doesn’t understand how what he did is remotely inappropriate. I have trust issues I am trying to build back up and this is just another set back as he always wants to be the hero.

All he can say was we are friends.,, and I let him know they weren’t until her husband passed…..
