When is too soon after a break up? 6 months together, engaged. When should you move on?

When you feel ready is when you should move on. We can’t tell you an exact timeframe as to when you should move on since we were not in the relationship.

Everyone heals differently. It’s whenever you feel ready. My SIL was with her fiancé for years until he went on vacation where he cheated. I wanna say it had taken her about a year where she’s met someone else 10xs better who’s dad just happened to be friends of the family.

When you feel healed and whole and aren’t dating out of loneliness or desperation or someone to fix or complete you. When you feel ready. Otherwise you just sabotage your own happiness overthinking or blaming the new for what the old did and that’s not fair to you or them.

I happened to meet my husband about 2-3 weeks after my previous break up of 10 month relationship. It just happened that way. But it was an amicable break up and we stopped contact, so I didnt feel like I had hurt or baggage or lack of closure, drama from still seeing him etc. If you have those, it's best to take time and space to heal.
