Can bring sick make your period late?

My cycles are on the dot regular they start on the exact same cycle day each month, this month I’m currently one day late and have no signs of my period starting, my nipples started to get sore yesterday but that’s the only thing and my breast feel normal which normally hurt. My fiancé has been sick but I’ve been alright I’ve only experienced a stuffy nose at night when I try to sleep, I haven’t ran a fever at all I haven’t had a sore throat or body aches the only thing is a little cough once in a blue moon and congestion when I sleep so basically like allergies but it isn’t constant. Could this make my period be late? I took a cheap strip test off Amazon and it seems to be negative, should I go get a first response test to confirm a negative? It would be 100% accurate right? I’m currently cd 28 (I start bleeding on cd 27 every month)
