KNEE PAIN

I have a doctor’s appointment next Friday but I don’t know if I can wait that long. Just wondering if anyone may have any insight. About 3 weeks ago I had sudden knee pain in my right knee on the left side. I thought I may have just twisted it but it’s gotten worse everyday and the only time I have any relief is when my leg is perfectly straight (so resting basically) I’m having trouble sleeping because I can only lay on my back. If I turn to either side it feels like it’s pulling. Also issues driving because it’s my right leg and so switching pedals is twisting it. It’s also clicking with almost every bend of my knee. I don’t want to wait until Friday because I’m scared I may be doing damage in the meantime. Has anyone experienced this or known someone who did and the outcome? Thank you!
