Christmas at work

I really didn’t want to get my conworkers a Christmas present this year because I don’t have the money for it.

I heard some of them talking and the manager said we should all not buy each other anything and save money. And I was so happy to hear that.

But then someone came in the next day and said she caved and bought us all something. So now everyone feels like they have to.

I recently took a supervisor position so now I definitely feel like I have to.

I’m so upset about it. Cause I really dont want to. But I feel like everyone’s gonna think I’m rude if i don’t.

Any advice ???
