Is it standard to test to 5 before cleared to try again?

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks on Thanksgiving. I have had HCG draws weekly since then. My OB said I’d be clear for sex (I didn’t specifically ask about TTC) at 5 or less. I had a draw yesterday. Before I got the results, I did a urine test at home which was my first negative urine test. I thought that meant less than 5 since the urine test threshold is 6 (I think?). I also took an ovulation test that was positive and panicked that I’d miss this cycle and baby danced. I got the results of my blood draw today and it was 9. Curious if it is standard to test all the way down to 5? If it’s too high to get pregnant yet, that’s fine, but am I hurting anything? It seems other doctors recommend just waiting a week or two after bleeding stops which I did.
