Okay so, today me my bf and our kids went to a Christmas family party , I only stayed til like 8/9 because I wanted to bathe the kids, “bake cookies for Santa” and just overall have them ready for the night, I do this every year it’s a tradition.. my boyfriend decided to go to a bar rather than come home… while the kids are asking where is dad, am i overreacting for being upset?

Idk there has to be more back story to it, like does he get the chance to go out often ? If not, I don’t see a problem with it as long as he comes home at a reasonable time. If he does go out often, then that’s not okay, he could’ve waited for another time.
