Toddler waking up at night hungry. Growth spurt or something else?

My 20 month old has been sleeping consistently for a while now. Bedtime around 7:30-8:30pm, sleeps through the night, wakes up around 7-8am, and one 1-2h nap a day. Suddenly for the last 2-3 weeks she's going to bed around 9-9:30pm and it's a fight to get her to go in the crib, then she's either waking up in the middle of the night saying she's hungry or waking up early around 6-6:30am. We started giving her an extra snack right before bed thinking maybe she's just been extra hungry, but it doesn't seem to be helping. When she wakes in the night we give her a snack and then it's a fight to go back in the crib again. Now I'm wondering if maybe she just doesn't like the crib anymore and it has nothing to do with food at all? She hasnt tried to climb out of her crib at all and has water and stuffed animals in there with her, but she gets very upset when it's time to go in for bed. We try to make it more fun by having her play in the crib outside of bedtime and she has no issues being in it then, but that hasn't seemed to help when it comes to bedtime. Sorry for the long post, thanks for reading, just trying to get some ideas on what to do or what may be going on that we're missing...
