Any clue what's going on

The first day of my last period was 12-18 eight days ago, today I've had spotting like this (mostly this amount and color) with one time being a decent size smear of a grouping of 5/7 of these streaks. Along with this I've been mildly crampy all day. I don't usually get this until closer to my period and it turns into a full flow by the end of the day or the next morning.

I've never had ovulation bleeding but I know it can happen any ideas or comments?
