Toddler Always Hungry
My son is 1 year, 4 months and seems to be constantly hungry. We feed him three meals with at least one snack in between meals and 16-24 ounces of milk per day. I try to include healthy fats, veggies, fruits, grains, and protein in each meal. He finishes eating or drinking his milk and then immediately asks for more. He rarely ever seems to be full.
He has always been very big for his age. Not overweight but just large overall. Consistently over the 97 percentile for both height and weight for his age since he was born.
It seems like we should be feeding him according to his height and weight which is closer to a 2 1/2 to 3 year old rather than his age, right? Has anyone else had this challenge?
