I am due to finish up on maternity leave in 2 weeks however I just got a phone call and got told no hours available for me.

I am currently private renting at the moment for the past 13 years. I was wondering how does one get on the list to be put on the council list. My partner is on disability allowance but reduced money due to my working status before going on maternity leave. We have one baby 5 months old(hopefully having another one in the next year/2). I will obviously will be looking for a job in the meantime but anyone in Ireland will know there isn’t a single place available in a childcare facility for 6 month old till 2025/2026!
