My current partner is a gem. Previously many years ago, my exhusband left me while I was pregnant with our baby. It took a LOT of healing and therapy to get through this.

My current partner knows this and was there when it all happened to me. He held my hand and came with me to all of my therapy sessions, as my friend. He always said “we are going to get the closure you need. I’m here for you and we are doing this together”.

To this day, years later, he never leaves my side through hard times and always works out a plan to make things better.

When I tell people this, they think its weird that hes such a kind man? They say “its kind of sus that hes so good to you and loves you so much.. “ and then they subtly comment that I’m so gorgeous and I’m way out of his league..

They also judge us alot because we met at work (no work policies against this even) and are currently long distance (working to close this).

Its starting to bother me. I’m so confused by these comments??
