I recently met a few local girlfriends who are married and have two kids like myself. This is the first time I formed a group of friends whom I can hang out with after 15 years of my marriage. One of the ladies in the group keeps insisting that we all should meet up with our husbands and kids. We already had a mom+kids playdate a few times in the past, but never brought our husbands with us. So when this one lady suggested we plan a meetup with our husbands, another lady and I politely declined saying let's keep our friends circle outside of our personal lives and especially we vent so much about our husbands anyway so best to meet just as usual without husbands - she agreed to this. Again recently that lady privately texted after our last meet up that we should plan a meetup with our husbands. I just said okay without saying anything. I don't know why this lady keeps insisting that we meetup with our husbands and no other lady asks or insists. Am I overthinking? I just want to keep my own ladies circle outside of my personal life, but this lady keeps insisting. Not sure if it helps, this one lady who keeps insisting we meet with husbands is a bit skin-showing and dressy kind of lady amongst the entire group.
