So it’s my first year at a new job and due to me not working there a full year I don’t qualify for FMLA. And from my company’s contract they will no longer cover me insurance as of 3/1/24 and this baby is due 2/24/24. We will go under my husband’s insurance but we hate it and know that under my insurance we will have no expenses for baby’s birth but under his we will have to pay a couple grand.

Is it unheard of to ask my obgyn if we might induce right before my due date? Has anyone done this before?
