implantation

yesterday i was around 8 dpo when i started wiping brown/ very light pink discharge. i immediately thought it was implantion bleeding. i was lightly cramping. then the bleeding stopped after a couple hours. felt very nauseous and gagging a lot. and very bad headache. i went to sleep and woke up this morning and it was full blown blood and clots. i’m always at least 2-3 days late on my period. but now i’m a week early. i’m so confused. has anyone ever experienced this? was it implantation or period? desperately looking for answers.
