Could someone help me?

I’m a new mom and my baby is 5 months old and I feed her some baby applesauce for the first time and she got this rash on her temple (photo below); she’s was fine she didn’t cry or feel uncomfortable; it went away after 10 mins and I feed it to her again 3 hours later it popped up again does anyone know what this is and what I could do about it?

Stop goving it. And stop giving solids until at least 6 months old and all signs of readiness are met.

Sounds and looks like an allergic reaction. Stop giving apple and start a food diary to track any other foods that may cause a reaction. Is your baby formula fed?

Store bought or homemade? Baby could be allergic to additives or preservatives if its store bought. You could try feeding just apple applesauce that you make yourself and see if the same problem arises

Actually my kiddo gets a topical skin reaction to most all fruit. Usually contact on skin from food, not ingestion. But if kiddo gets on hands then rubs head now you got it everywhere. For my kiddo it isn't an allergy per se because no welts, itching, vomiting, eczema, hives, etc . The "rash" is just red and blotchy. Send a pic to your doc though. 
Also, if kiddo shows interest in solids I oppose the other people being die hard wait until 6mo 😉
But I would lay off any more applesauce until you talk to a doc to be sure. 
Also, my kiddo DOES have some food allergies and we see an allergist regularly.

I agree it’s an allergic reaction. Like someone mentioned make it yourself if she still has the reaction stop it completely and try again in a few months.

When my niece was first trying out foods around this age she would always react like that to everything. It would usually go away super fast but it was scary. She’s 2.5 now and doesn’t have any allergies to anything and we’re honestly not even sure why she reacted that way

IMO you should

Stop giving  the baby that brand of applesauce could contain an allergen to your child. Make sure to make your dr aware of this at your next appointment.

To treat the rash, you can apply Baby Aquafor or Cerve like 4 times per day. Our son has an egg allergy and breaks out like that and both Ped and allergist then told us to use Aquafor. I also would not try it again until you see an allergist.

If.its.not.homemade and store bought the baby.could be allergic to additives or preservitives. Sometimes only lists one ingredient but.they have gasses and things.like that.to preserve and dont have to list those. Apples on.its own.would turn bad and change color by the next day

Also she is still too young to have solids. 6m old at minimum and all ready signs met.
