Hi ladies, I’m 28 my partner is 31 and we’ve been TTC for well over 3 years. My periods are severely irregular to the point where I may only get 2-3 a year if that and have gone upwards 1-1.5 years without seeing one at all. I’ve seen ob after ob and all they offer is BC or Provera even when mentioning actively trying to conceive and I’ve even had some that advises I’m still young with plenty of time to try once I get my cycles under control. I see absolutely no pointing in bleeding every month if I’m not gonna ovulate or have any chances of getting pregnant. Recently, I’ve seen my family doctor and explained everything and sent him every test and ultrasound I’ve ever had and he prescribed me clomid without me explicitly asking like I’ve done with ob and re, and advises we can do up to 6 cycles before trying other options. Since I don’t get periods he advised me to start it whenever I want. I haven’t started yet because I’ve been researching and researching but I’m horrified now. All I see are women who it hasn’t worked for and it’s getting me down like I wanted this so bad and it may not even work. Anyone have any success with clomid? If so how many rounds? I was prescribed 50mg & he gave me 3 rounds to start. I’m hoping the first one will work but so afraid to be let down again.
