My daughter didn’t really talk much besides the basics til right before she was 3. Now she’s 3 and nonstop talking. It can range a ton

24m…she was stubborn and preferred grunting and sign language before that

My first was closer to one before she got really into it but my second started way before she was 1 and currently has a vocabulary way above her age. 
It’s such a wide range of “normal” I think by 2 it’s only like 20 words and more important that they are understanding you
