So Wednesday morning I went to maternal fetal medicine specialist to get my induction date due to severe hydropronosis. I've been hospitalized several times since this all started at 21 weeks. They placed stents and that just made things worse. They wanted to place tubes in my kidneys to help them drain but my OB said they didn't think it was practical due to having small children at home. They could easily be pulled out by accident by a small child. So anyway they set my induction date Feb 8th 38w6d. But Wednesday night about 7:30 pm I started having steady contractions 2 minutes apart for 2 hours so I told my husband we needed to go Bec we're an hour from the hospital and my other 3 labors went fairly quickly. We got there I was 35w6d so they want the give me a pill (procardia) and fluids to stop the labor. it got worse I was not getting a break between contractions they checked me when I got there and I was 1cm dilated wait 2 hours and the nurse said I was 3cm so they moved me to labor and delivery. Doctor came in and said the nurse was wrong I was only 1.5 cm dilated. They started more fluids, antibiotics for group b Bec I didn't have the test yet and they wanted to be sure. And steroid shots for his lungs. Contractions were still back to back and I was in Alot of pain. I was feeling pressure and called the nurse and she checked me and said I was 6cm dilated another nurse came in and said no I was 2.5cm dilated. I was getting aggravated at this point. It's was already 15 hours and my contractions were steady still. I stopped dilating at 2 cm and they kept monitoring me gave me 4 mg morphine every 2 hours and finally the contractions stopped. I came home today on light duty to try and make it to 37 weeks. This was just all stressful to me. Anyone have this happen to them???
