How long should my baby be sleeping?

She is 11 days old today and she sleeps all the time, every other day I’ll get a good few wakes windows in but sometimes she’s only awake during feedings, which we wake her for most times. Is this okay? I see some people say their newborns aren’t sleeping at all and i just want to make sure I’m not missing anything 😭 I’ll ask the pediatrician about it at her 2 week appointment but it’s on my mind lol she’s eating plenty and has plenty wet/poopy diapers!!

I asked my daughter’s pediatrician the same thing, usually for the first couple months they sleep A LOT. I had the same concern because I also had to wake her up to eat, it’s normal 😊

Mine has only woken to feed or during her bath and she’s almost 2 weeks. My son was the opposite he had reflux and never slept (still doesn’t) so I’m counting my blessings with this one lol

She’s doing great especially if she’s waking for feedings and has plenty of wet and poopy diapers. Newborns are supposed to sleep for up to 14 hours or a little more in a 24 hour period.

My 2 week old sleeps a lot! They are supposed to sleep a lot. Small wake windows like 30-60 mins a couple times a day. Follow takingcaraofbabies on social media or look on her website for all sleep related stuff. 
Our pediatrician also said as long as she’s gaining weight we don’t have to wake her for feedings, let her wake us up. So we do and shes doing just fine.
