So me and my partner are trying for another baby our son is 1 and I still breast feed could that affect conceiving?

You dont need to fully wean i got pregnant. If your cycles are regular you can assume you are ovulating. If you track with opks and bbt then you can get a better idea.

I got pregnant with my son when my daughter was only 9 months old and exclusively breastfeeding - never even took a bottle. I then got pregnant with my third when my son was just shy of 2.5 and still breastfeeding at night. So it’s definitely possible to conceive without weaning

It absolutely could. Your body will prioritize making milk to ovulating. So you could have irregular cycles and even skip ovulation some cycles. I had to fully wean to get pregnant both times.
