Could this be UTI? Lower back pain? ER was useless.
I went to the ER yesterday because I had an unbearable pain right where my lower back ends and my butt/leg atarts. It’s not a usual pain for me.
Initial doctor did urinalysis, bloodwork and CT.
By the time the results came out there was another doctor. He told me everything came out “well” except I had a bit of a UTI. He prescribed me what he said was an antibiotic and then I went back home because it was past midnight.
Next day I went to pharmacy and the pharmacist was struggling to decipher what he had given me. It was Diclofenac. He then informed me that it wasn’t an antibiotic? Just a pain killer?
He told me I had to go back to ER so they would fix it but the doctor that gave me the prescription last night wasn’t there. This new doctor “helped” but he told me that supposedly I didn’t have a UTI. Then he proceeded to ask me if I had burning when peeing and since I initially didn’t I said “no?”. Then he said that it didn’t matter what the labs showed if I didn’t have burning.
But then today I did actually have intense burning. Now I’m worried it could be an actual UTI and it could be spreading but since he wanted to get me out of the way he said I didn’t. Or that maybe the one who saw me last night did catch something that this one didn’t.
I don’t see my regular doctor until the 16th which I feel is still pretty far away.
